Since 2006, Telx has managed the premier interconnection center in Phoenix Arizona. Phoenix is an important top tier market and has become one of the fastest-growing environments for disaster recovery and corporate application hosting for enterprise data centers. The 175,000 square-foot 120 East Van Buren facility is the number-one carrier hotel in the Phoenix Metro-landscape, which serves as the primary hub for Internet traffic in the greater Phoenix area. The building is a recognized fiber crossroad on almost every national network backbone, with multiple fiber entrances and vaults. Over three dozen carriers/providers currently serve the building.
Telx launched The Telx Internet Exchange (TIE) in 2006, an Internet Peering Exchange, in our Phoenix Arizona facility. Telx entered the market to offer quality peering services that leverage the strength of our InterConnection Center community. The Phoenix TIE is based on the Force 10 platform, is monitored 24x7, and is ready to accept Ethernet connections immediately.

“Telx has proven to be a fast, flexible and affordable colocation partner for Peerless,” said Tony Hiller, vice president of Network Engineering for Peerless Network, Inc. “When it was time to choose carrier-neutral colocation sites to support our Phoenix and Charlotte market expansions, Telx was the obvious choice. We’re pleased to expand our relationship with Telx as we continue to increase the number of markets we serve.”
